Scientific and medical research organisations around the world are starting to share the results of their Covid-19 vaccine development and trials, providing cause for hope and optimism in the fight against this global pandemic.
Following the recent announcement of positive results from the testing of Pfizer and BioNTech’s vaccine, the US company Moderna has also revealed that their vaccine is showing around 95% effectiveness against the virus in testing completed so far.
Data from vaccine tests being carried out in both Russia and China is also reported as showing positive responses according to the BBC. Several possible vaccines are currently being developed in China with mid-stage results apparently showing optimistic immune system responses.
In Britain, Oxford University’s vaccine is currently undergoing testing in a range of varied population groups in South Africa, Brazil, Kenya, Japan and the United States as well as here in the UK.
