Clinical negligence
Profile
Jack was drawn to a career in law from his schooldays, opting to study law at 'A' Level and going on to do a law degree at the University of Sussex.
Having completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at Nottingham Trent University, he worked for a number of large law firms in Bristol, primarily undertaking professional indemnity work in both claims handling and legal assistant/paralegal roles. During this time, he also began to develop his expertise in clinical negligence claims.
It was the complexity and worthwhile nature of clinical negligence which appealed most to Jack's character and prompted him to join Glynns as a trainee solicitor in October 2014.
For Jack, clinical negligence brings together several areas of interest as well as demanding a range of skills. The inter-weaving of the worlds of both medicine and law alongside the need for forensic analysis, empathetic personal interactions and meticulous attention to detail produce a challenging and absorbing field in which to work.
The depth of the client's need in clinical negligence cases is a driving force in Jack's commitment to this area of work and the opportunity to help people who are experiencing life-changing challenges is of paramount importance.
Jack qualified as solicitor in 2016 and has since specialised predominantly in cauda equina syndrome, birth injury and orthopaedic claims.
In the world beyond work, Jack is a regular participant in long-distance swimming and running as well as enjoying tennis. He has completed several marathons and half-marathons as well as finishing the River Dart 10K swim in 2019.
