Horse Accident Claim Case Studies
Stephanie suffered a broken left arm whilst working at some stables. She was in the process of turning out a 16.2hh gelding approximately 6 years of age at the time. She led the horse into the field and turned him back towards the gate before then attempting to remove his head collar. Before she was able to do this, the horse pulled the lead rein out of her hand, and turned and kicked her with both back feet, breaking her arm.
It transpired that Stephanie had not received any training from her employer regarding how properly to turn horses out and a full admission of liability was made.
Stephanie's claim for compensation is currently ongoing due to the fact that she continues to receive treatment for her injuries and the medical evidence is not yet finalised.
