Glynns is delighted to have contributed to the recent CEO Sleepout fund-raising event in Bristol.

On the night of 28th/29th November, around 60 CEOs of local businesses and organisations took part in the Bristol CEO Sleepout event at Clifton Ruby Club, raising approximately £60,000.00 for local organisations which support the homeless.

Funds were distributed to ‘Help Bristol’s Homeless’ and the Billy Chip CIC, which is a small Bristol-based charity providing food and drinks to the homeless through various retail outlets.

CEO Sleepout is an organisation ‘fighting homelessness and poverty across the UK’, by bringing CEOs together to raise funds and increase understanding of the issues affecting homelessness in the UK. Sleepout events occur throughout the country, giving business leaders the opportunity to experience what it feels like to have no safe place to sleep whilst raising much-needed funds to try to make homelessness a thing of the past.

‘Help Bristol’s Homeless’ is an inspiring charity which provides temporary accommodation for the homeless, thereby creating a safe and stable basis from which to move forward.

The Billy Chip is an organisation which is particularly close to our hearts here at Glynns. Julie Glynn, Founder and Director of Glynns, is a trustee of the Billy Chip Foundation which supports local organisations working to improve the lives of the homeless.
