The Cauda Equina Champions Charity has just announced that it has reached its target of 10 MILLION steps in its latest campaign to raise awareness and funds.
The campaign, 1 Million Steps for CES, was only launched a month ago at the end of January but has had such support that not only was its target upgraded to 10 Million steps after a couple of weeks, but its new target has now also been reached.
Over 80 individuals nationwide have been contributing their steps to the campaign to try to raise awareness of this appalling and life-changing condition.
The charity is also well on the way to reaching its £5000 fund-raising target at justgiving.com.
Without emergency diagnosis and treatment, compression of the cauda equina nerves at the base of the spine can develop into a debilitating condition. Cauda equina syndrome can leave the victim with double incontinence and loss of mobility.
Members of Glynns’ staff – and friends – have been walking as part of the campaign.
