The BBC has reported this week on the large compensation payment awarded to Holly Greenhow for damage which occurred during her birth.
Starvation of oxygen during birth has meant that Holly now suffers with cerebral palsy.
Currently 12 years old, her compensation award is intended to provide Holly with care, and help her to live as independent a life as possible.
Cerebral palsy is a condition which can affect people in differing degrees and usually impacts on the person’s co-ordination, balance and muscle control. It is usually caused by a problem during the baby’s birth such as lack of oxygen or a bleed on the baby’s brain.
