Tripping Accident At Work
We acted for a 55 year old man called Tony who was involved in an accident at work when he tripped over a power cable attached to a piece of work equipment.
As a result of the accident he suffered torn ligaments in his right wrist and was symptomatic for several months.
A Letter of Claim was sent to the employers insurance company alleging negligence and breach of statutory duty in that, amongst other things, they had failed to keep the traffic route that Tony was using free from items that were likely to cause someone to trip; failed to provide him with a safe place of work and failed to provide any warning of the presence of the power cables on the floor.
Liability for the accident was admitted within three months of the Letter of Claim being sent and settlement of Tony's claim for £2,500.00 was quickly achieved.
