Work Accident Claim Injury

Work Back Injury

We acted on behalf of a gentleman by the name of Tony, who suffered an injury to his lower back whilst at work. At the time of Tony's injury he was moving some gas bottles between two trailers. There was a significant height difference between the two trailers and each gas bottle weighed in the region of 50 kilos when empty.

Tony had not been provided with any mechanical assistance in carrying out this task or any assistance from work colleagues.

As a result of his accident, Tony had a total of three weeks off work.

A Letter of Claim was sent to Tony's employer shortly after we were instructed and a full admission of liability was received within four months thereafter.

We obtained expert medical evidence from a consultant orthopaedic surgeon, who advised that the accident brought forward symptoms that Tony would have had in any event (due to a pre-existing condition) by approximately three years.

Tony's compensation claim was settled within one year of liability being accepted for the sum of £5,125.00.
